Tip: ClipXEvery copywriter should have it in his/her arsenalAt a recent gig, I was writing and editing catalog copy. Unfortunately, from time to time, higher ups (not my manager or his manager) suddenly wanted headings to read differently. Or they wanted to change the boilerplate. Or they decided an icon was ugly and wanted it replaced! What to do? Copy and paste, of course. But how do you copy and paste multiple chunks of text to each catalog entry without going batty? Pasting a chunk of text and going through each catalog entry one by one? Then starting over with the other chunk of text? One of two chunks is acceptablenot enjoyable, but acceptablebut five or six? And for over 400 catalog entries? ClipX to the rescue So, how did ClipX help me?
It's very easy, and it saved me a LOT of time. Notes: I will, in no way, benefit from endorsing ClipX. It's freeware, and it solved a huge problem. And yes, Microsoft Office can store text in multiple clipboards. But there isn't a simple way to paste different chunks of text without using your mouse. And ClipX works everywhere in Windows, not just Office. Resources TipsMicrosoft Word Adobe Acrobat General Outside the cubicle
