Tip: Save a copy when working in a CMSWe've been working with content management systems (CMS) for the last few months. We discovered (the hard way) that CMS's tend to reorganize HTML to their liking. In fact, they'll actually remove "unapproved" meta tags and other HTML elements. We found this out after a CMS corrupted some Web pages which had to be rebuilt. Unfortunately, we didn't have backups of the original on our hard disk because we were assured they were on the CMS's backup. The CMS had backups all rightof the corrupted files! Our solution? It's an easy one! Copy and paste the local version of your Web page's HTML into a text file before you upload them to the CMS. That way you'll always have a version on your hard disk.
