Tips: Crop pictures in Word Got
a great picture of your cat that you want to place in your holiday cards? The
problem is, along with your pretty black cat, you see the litter box (dégoulas),
an old sock filled with catnip (tacky), and discarded kibble she didn't want to
eat (mmmm, kibble). No one wants to see that, especially Grandma Chou and
Grandma Howard. So what do you do? Look for a new, less cute picture? Or just
crop out the detritus that surrounds your objet-d'art? Here's how you crop
a picture in Microsoft® Word: - Fist click the Insert menu:
Picture.
- Select the picture you want, and click OK. The
Picture toolbar should appear. If the Picture toolbar doesn't appear, simply
click the View menu, select Toolbars, and select Picture.
- Click
the Crop button on the Picture toolbar. Your cursor changes to a
little box.
- Click one of the points on the picture, and hold your mouse
button down while you crop out the stuff you don't want to see on your picture.
This doesn't erase these parts, just hides them.
