Recipe: Mashed PotatoesIngredients - 3-4
large baking potatoes
- salt
- 3 tblspn butter
- 1/2 cup milk
(or cream, which makes it VERY rich)
Directions
- Wash and peel potatoes, cut lengthwise into quarters.
- Place potatoes in a pan
filled with water and a little salt.
- Boil for about 20 minutes (or, when using a knife the potatoes feels
tender).
- Drain (set pot of potatoes back on burner with burned off for a couple
minutes to make sure all the water is evaporated.
- With a potato masher, beat the potatoes until all the lumps are gone
- Add butter and a little salt.
- Add milk or cream.
- Serve
immediately.
