Recipe: Hamburger

To make the best burgers, grab your meat from a good butcher. Heartland Meats at the Farmer's Markets, or Paulina Meat Market are both fabulous butchers, and can give you hormone-free beef.

Ingredients

  • Outstanding ground beef from a good butcher (Paulina Meat Market, Heartland Meats)
  • Pinch of salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Make your burgers by shaping a pound of ground beef into a ball.
  2. Flatten it and add some salt and pepper
  3. That's it. You don't need fillers (bread crumbs, minced onions) because the meat actually tastes terrific the way nature made it.
